NEET is a national level medical entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The official notification of NEET 2020 was declared on August 21, 2019.
According to the NTA, the exam is set to be conducted on May 3, 2020. This is a pen and paper offline mode entrance exam for those candidates who are willing to pursue medical courses.
The question paper for this exam is divided into three sections, which consist of Physics (45 questions), Chemistry (45 questions) and along with that, the majority of the questions are covered by the Biology section (90 questions). So the question paper will be having an overall of 180 questions.
Exam Day Timeline for NEET 2020
The surveillance and invigilation strictly undertake these exams, so candidates must be aware of the guidelines that they need to follow before the exam commences.
The exam center always asks the candidate to reach the center 45 minutes before the exam commences. It is necessary to avoid any confusion or problems later and to carry on the whole process in a smooth manner.
The NTA provides certain guidelines that the candidate must follow, like the dress code, documents to carry, and are other strict rules. If these guidelines are not followed, then it may result in the cancellation of the candidate, which will depend upon the violation degree.

NEET 2020 Admit Card
The admit card for NEET 2020 will be released by the NTA on March 27, 2020. To download the admit card, candidates need to log in using their credentials like registration number, Date of birth, and password from the official website- ntaneet.nic.in.
- The candidates or the aspirants are suggested to call the helpline number or contact the exam authority instantly in case of any discrepancy
- The admit card for NEET 2020 is the most mandatory document that must be carried on the day of the exam.
- Along with the admit card candidate must carry two passport size photographs and proforma with a postcard-sized photograph affixed on it.
How to Download NEET 2020 Admit Card?
The candidate can easily download the admit card or the hall ticket for the NEET 2020 exam online. Also, the admit cards can be downloaded in the given time. There are certain steps mentioned below which can be followed while downloading the admit card:
- Step 1: The candidates are suggested to visit the official site, i.e., ntaneet.nic.in.
- Step 2: After that, the candidates are instructed to search the link for downloading the admit card
- Step 3: Then the candidates will be redirected to the login page where they need to fill the registration number, Date of birth, security pin and then click the submit button
- Step 4: The candidates will be redirected to a new page with the medical exam details and the admit card
- Step 5: Finally, the candidate can download the admit card and also keep a print copy of it for future reference
Important instructions for NEET-UG 2020
There are certain guidelines and instructions that the candidate must strictly follow. Any candidates failing to follow these guidelines will result in the cancellation of their candidature.
- The candidate must not bring in any electronic devices inside the examination hall like mobile phones or calculators.
- The candidate must also follow the dress code, as mentioned in the terms and conditions of the admit card.
- The exam will be distributed in two entry slots. The first entry slot will begin from 7:30 am to 8:30 am, and the next slot starts right after that from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. The candidates are also advised to reach the examination center location a day before to know the location of the center.
- Also, the candidates will be provided with a blue/black ink pen to fill the particulars in the test booklet.
- The aspirants must carry a valid admit card with a Recent passport-size photograph of the candidate to the examination center.
- After the completion of the exam, the candidate must submit the OMR sheet to the invigilator and can only carry the test booklet.
NEET 2020 Exam Result
The NTA will be conducting the NEET 2020 exam on May 3, 2020, and the result will be announced on June 4, 2020. The candidates are requested to visit the official site to download the result for NEET 2020. Also, the merit list will be displayed there itself. The seats will be allocated to the candidates on the basis of the merit list.

- Login using NEET 2020 credentials – Application number, Date of birth, and security pin
- NEET 2020 result will be displayed on the screen.
- Download the pdf and keep it for future reference
After the result is announced, the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, will be conducting the counseling process.
